Steelers must re-sign Le’Veon Bell

Along with Antonio Brown, re-signing Le’Veon Bell should be the Steelers top priority

Le’Veon Bell. That name rings tried and true with every Steelers fan across the world. Whenever I hear someone say that (insert name here) is the best running-back in the NFL, I usually think, say, or say this out loud: “Yeah, okay. Whatever you say, buddy.” I usually try to have my tone be as sarcastic as possible. Why? Because no one else is a better running-back than Le’Veon Bell.

Yeah. I just said that.

Why? Because Le’Veon Bell is special. Why is he special? Well, I’m glad you asked.

He’s patient.

Bell nearly comes to a complete stop after taking a hand-off. He stops, scans the field, hits the hole, and takes off.

His receiving skills.

After the 2014-2015 season, Bell had 83 receptions for 854 yards, which he led among all RBs, and 3 touchdowns. Bell doesn’t only catch balls out of the backfield, he can also be split out wide, right or left side. In 2014, Bell had one less reception, and more receiving yards than WR Jarvis Landry.

He has no ceiling.

Even though 2 out of his 3 seasons were ended early because of injury, Le’Veon Bell proved that if he had a ceiling, he tore that thing down awhile ago. It’s an absolute shame that we couldn’t have seen more of him last season, injuries suck.

Bottom line.

Bell is a rare kind of player, a player that we can’t let walk away. If he can stay injury-free, there’s no telling what we’ll out of Bell this season.
