Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the offseason starts to heat up we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Tuesday, April 26th.

Nail biters

In preparation for Thursday night’s NFL Draft Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and GM Kevin Colbert took to the podium on Monday afternoon and Teresa Varley has key takes from Tomlin on the direction the team might go.

Tomlin stressed that the picks are made as a consensus amongst the people in the Steelers’ draft room and no one person makes the picks, even the nail biting picks.

"“The nail biting decisions you imagine while on the clock don’t occur in the manner. It occurs in a variety of forms over the course of several months in preparation. There isn’t the angst or discussion you would imagine when we are on the clock. These decisions have been made and transpired over the course of the last several months.” – Mike Tomlin"

Steelers pick

Just in case you were wondering what Steelers GM Kevin Colbert had to say on Monday about the draft Teresa Varley has you covered there as well. Also covered is the fact that Tomlin and Colbert are consistent in stating how the picks are made as a team and not by one person.

At least he’s not going to admit any time soon that any one person makes the picks.

But can you cover AB?

So last week the Washington Redskins backed up the Brinks truck to Josh Norman and gave him a five-year contract for $75 million with a boat-load of guaranteed money and Norman’s first test as a member of Washington’s team will be to cover Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown Week 1 on Monday Night Football.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler explains how Norman’s first few weeks as a member of the NFC East will be pretty tough after facing not only Brown but Dez Bryant and then Odell Beckham Jr. Brown has shown up just about every top-rated corner in the league so September 12th it will be Norman’s turn to get burned by Brown.
