Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the team starts to put in the work to prepare for the 2016 NFL season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Friday, May 13th.

Big Dan looks to make a big step

Steelers nose tackle Daniel McCullers is looking to make a big step in his third season with the team. He’s got an opportunity to get a lot more playing time now that Steve McLendon is gone but he’s going to have to prove himself to be a big asset instead of just a big guy.

Teresa Varley has McCullers’ comments on how he’s using the offseason workout program to get back to work with the goal of improving as a player and teammate.

"“I have been here for two years but haven’t gotten a lot of playing time. I have been on and off the field. This year I am going to work my butt off and prove to the coaches I am capable of being a great player.” – Daniel McCullers"

At 6’7”, 352 pounds it would take him more than an offseason to actually work his butt off, I think.

Get your tickets

Mark your calendars, Steeler Nation. The individual game tickets go on sale on June 17th for the 2016 Steelers regular season home games. The Steelers will remain in the variable pricing with some lower-interest games at lower prices than others.

"SAVE THE DATE: 2016 individual game tickets will be available beginning June 17."

Did the Steelers get better?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler posts the question now that the dust has settled from the draft and free agency, have the already pretty good Steelers improved their roster? Fowler reminds us that with departures like Heath Miller, Kelvin Beachum and Brandon Boykin along with the suspension of Martavis Bryant the Steelers lost six starters from the 2015 team.

Did they improve in those positions? The obvious drop-off would be from Martavis Bryant to Sammie Coates at wide receiver but having Antonio Brown there kinda softens that blow, wouldn’t it? The most concerning spot would be at left tackle where Beachum leaves behind Alejandro Villanueva and free agent signing Ryan Harris. We’ll have to wait and see if that works out to be better.

What do you think, Steeler Nation; did the Steelers roster get better or worse?
