Steelers season never really ends for Steeler nation so while the Steelers players get their minds and bodies right to embark on the 2016 regular season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Friday, July 1st.

Welcome to the NFL

The NFL usually does a Rookie Symposium each year and invites a certain number of rookies to hear speeches and seminars to help them get acclimated into life in the NFL. This year the program was done at the team level instead.

Teresa Varley has Steelers rookie Artie Burns’ take on how the program was done by the team.

More from Steelers News

"“This was great. Coming from college to the NFL there are a lot of things we don’t know. They are giving us all the tools we need. We just have to tune in and make sure we come to work every day.” – Artie Burns"

Yeah, going to work is a vital part of the process, I’d assume. Wonder if I can teach the session next year?

That’s gonna be a “No”

The ESPN AFC North round table was at it again and you’re going to want to chime in on their last debate. Cole Harvey, the Bengals writer posed the loaded question of will Cincinnati finally win a playoff game. I believe the answer would be similar to the answer to the question of whether or not pigs can fly.

The funny part of this debate is that the Bengals having the talent to make a successful trip to the post season as opposed to just a trip to the post season but they can’t stop getting in their own way. No doubt this year won’t be any different and they’ll punch their ticket for an early departure and end up giving Marvin Lewis another extension.

Comeback player of the year?

Around the NFL’s Chris Wesseling predicts the potential candidates for the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year Award. Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell qualifies for that as he’s coming back from MCL and PCL surgery this season and based on what we’ve seen from him when healthy he can throw down in a full season.

Next: Can the Steelers stay healthy this season?

Other candidates might include Andrew Luck, who is coming back from a season where he sucked so bad it lacerated his kidney or something and Dez Bryant and Tony Romo who are both either injured or sucking. Go Le’Veon!
