The Steelers are getting ready to suit up and take on the Detroit Lions for their first preseason game of the 2016 season.

While the team works the week to get ready for the Lions we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, Aug. 10th.
The first time
The Steelers are holding joint practices with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to their Friday meeting at Heinz Field for each team’s first preseason game of the year. Teresa Varley reminds us that the Steelers have held joint practices previously in 2014 training camp with the Buffalo Bills.

For some players, including daily birthday-boy
, having a joint practice with another team will be a first.
"“This is 11 years I have been in the National Football Leave and the first year I have had a joint practice. I have inquired from some of the guys. They said it’s no different from a regular practice. When you are in practice and surrounded with your guys, you try and take care of your guys. When you have another team come in here do you treat it like a game type situation or what? I am trying to get a feel for how that is going to go. It’s just another challenge we have to answer.” – DeAngelo Williams"

Summer of Brown
The summer of Antonio Brown doesn’t stop just because training camp has started. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler explains how observing Brown at training camp is like a whole different experience itself. Brown’s personality is only outmatched by his worth ethic and interaction with the crowd.
He constantly returns chants from the crowd of fans to “How’s business?” “Booming!” and he’s never seen without his personal assistant Theo Smith and personal chef Niko.

"“I love camp, man. You get a chance to interact with the fans. I hear them say my name. And I get to compete against guys.” – Antonio Brown"
This is a guy who genuinely loves the process and genuinely loves what he does. Fowler describes how Brown’s persona doesn’t bother his teammates the least bit because they know how genuine he really is. He’s just soaking it all in while he can, who can blame him?
