While the team has their quick turnaround from dominating Washington to preparing for Cincinnati we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Tuesday, Sept. 13th.

Milestones

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit some pretty impressive milestones in Monday night’s 38-16 win over the Washington Redskins. His first quarter interception was quickly forgotten and he went on to throw 27-of-37 for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

He became the first player in NFL history to complete at least 500 passes to 3 different teammates when he hit Antonio Brown for a 26-yard touchdown for Brown’s second score of the night.

He also reached 43,000 passing yards for his career and passed Joe Montana to claim the 13th spot on the all-time touchdown pass list.

Pretty impressive for a Monday night.

Just because you saw it on the internet

Facebook is where you go if you want to spread false information. It’s where people are the most gullible and lease likely to verify if something is true or even accurate before they “Like” or “Share” it.

Steelers linebacker James Harrison wanted to make sure people can tell the difference.

Just precautionary

Watching the Steelers manhandle Washington last night made every Steeler fan think “Oh man if this team stays healthy this could be it!” Which is why we all collectively gasped for air when it was announced that linebacker Ryan Shazier left the game with an apparent knee injury.

Steelers Wire’s Curt Popejoy cites a tweet by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that the move to take Shazier out of the game for the fourth quarter was precautionary, that there was no structural damage to his knee and everything is all good.

Next: Steelers dominate Washington

We should know more when Tomlin holds his Tuesday presser but that’s pretty good news so far.
