Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Watch: Ohio State RB/WR Curtis Samuel
By Logan Bryson
Let’s highlight a Steelers Draft target who could add yet another dimension to the Steelers prolific offense: Ohio State RB/WR Curtis Samuel.
Even though the Steelers are an elite NFL offense (or at least most weeks they are,) adding some additional talent would be a wise investment for Pittsburgh. Markus Wheaton is likely playing out his final season as a Steeler.
Martavis Bryant’s status for 2017 is impossible to predict. Deangelo Williams is an upcoming free agent and could likely end up with a starting gig for another team next season. Even Le’Veon Bell’s future as a Steeler is uncertain with his anticipated contract extension yet to occur.
Therefore, the Steelers should consider bolstering their offense with new young talent. One possible Steelers Draft target who could wear many hats in Todd Haley’s offense is Ohio State’s versatile running back Curtis Samuel.
Samuel is one of College Football’s most dangerous dual threat options. He has a chance to do something no FBS player has ever accomplished as he is within range of finishing the season with both 1,000 yards rushing and receiving.
Let’s take a closer look at Samuel’s game and his possible fit for Pittsburgh in our next edition of Steelers Draft Watch.
