The Steelers look to turn their season around in an out of conference matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Back in the day this rivalry used to be a sight to see. The Steelers won two of their four Super Bowls in the 1970s by beating the Cowboys. The Cowboys exacted revenge by bribing Neil O’Donnell to throw two passes to Larry Brown in Super Bowl XXX. Yes I’m still bitter.
At this present time the team of now islooking to start the official second half of the 2016 much like they started off the season; with a win against an NFC East team.
That’s not going to be an easy task considering Dak Prescott isn’t turning the ball over very much and Ezekiel Elliott leading the league in rushing yards.
You’ve got the Killer B’s; Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell going up against Dallas’ big three of Prescott, Elliott and Dez Bryant. Unless, of course, they decide to start Tony Romo and risk killing the momentum they’ve built under Prescott. Sounds like something the Cowboys would probably do.
What I hope Pittsburgh doesn’t do is take the field with another horribly conservative game plan that forces Bell to run into a brick wall 30 times and Ben only airs it out to futility in the fourth quarter. I think we all saw enough of him last week to realize he’s healthy enough to do what he needs to do.
This will be Pittsburgh’s Salute to Service game where they will be honoring the men and women of our armed forces. I am a proud daughter of two veterans. My father served 23 years in the United States Navy.
