The Steelers got the weekend off after handling business against the Colts Thursday night and return to work to get ready to face the Giants.
While the team works off the Thanksgiving weight they gained over the long weekend we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, Nov. 30th.
Prime time lights mean more flags
I think it’s a good thing when the main topic of conversation during the game week is Antonio Brown’s touchdown celebrations. It means he’s getting into the end zone. That’s a good problem to have.

I’m seeing more and more attention paid to his latest penalty in the 28-7 against the Colts on Thursday night.
Ben Roethlisberger joined The Cook and Poni Show on 93.7 The Fan for his Tuesday spot and talked about how being in prime time puts more pressure to throw a flag. Because, naturally the NFL can’t be showing the players enjoying themselves when everyone can see it. That would be awful.
"“I know for a fact that he’s scored touchdowns in one o’clock games that aren’t the big prime time games and they haven’t flagged him.” – Ben Roethlisberger"
They also don’t flag Rob Gronkowski every time he spikes it even though that’s technically a penalty either so what do you do? I saw twerk it if you score. YOLO
Manning to Manning
Apparently when Peyton Manning isn’t busy making disappointingly less funny commercials since his retirement he’s stopping by Giants practice to give his little brother, Eli Manning, tips on beating Pittsburgh.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan has Manning’s comments on the bring your big brother to work day at Giants’ facilities on Tuesday.
"“Yeah, he gave me some insight. Just some stuff that was successful; he’s played Pittsburgh a lot over the years. Played ‘em last year in the playoffs. So he just had a few tips or ideas that may fit into our system.” – Eli Manning"
Were the tips anything about having a historically good defense and Pittsburgh being without their starting running backs and star wide receiver? Cause those were really helpful to Peyton for sure.
Give it up for the big guys
Running back Le’Veon Bell is looking better and better and even though he had a short week last week he toted that rock all over the place in Indy thanks to a stellar performance out of the Pittsburgh offensive line.

NFL Network’s Shaun O’Hara named them his Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week. On top of paving the way for Bell’s 120 rushing yards and a touchdown they kept Roethlisberger upright the whole night. He wasn’t sacked or hit at all and only hurried four times in the win.
