While the team gets ready for the regular season finale against the Browns we’ll be busy looking for mentions of Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Tuesday, Dec. 27th.

Let’s rest

I don’t know about you but I’m still kind of stressed out about Sunday’s game against the Ravens. I feel like I haven’t gotten enough recovery time. Ben Roethlisberger feels the same way. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler suggests that they used the regular season finale against the Browns as a chance to rest.

More from Still Curtain

They’re going to literally rest, not figuratively. With the 3-seed locked up there’s no chance at a bye week to ice up prior to playoff football.

"“If we’ve got a spot and the 3 [-seed] clinched up, I think a lot of guys should get healthy.” – Ben Roethlisberger"

I’m fairly certain they could beat the Browns with their starters out but I’m also fairly certain you’re not going to get everyone to agree to a rest. I’m sure Roethlisberger is willing to wear the headset for a game but I’d bet you’d have to hide James Harrison’s helmet to get him to not take the field for a game.

The Immaculate Extension

Antonio Brown trains relentlessly to be able to make plays that leave opponents scratching their heads and Steeler Nation losing their minds. The presence of mind he had on that final scoring play to hold onto the ball and reach it over the goal line is spectacular.

I could watch this over and over. I’ll probably watch replays of this instead of the Browns game next week, to be honest.

Playoff picture

The AFC playoff picture is pretty much in full focus going into the final week of the regular season. The AFC West division hasn’t been sorted out completely with the Chiefs still having a chance to clinch the division with a win and a Raiders loss.

Next: Recapping the Steelers win over the Ravens

The Steelers will most likely be playing the Dolphins at home for Wild Card Weekend. It will be a rematch from the Week 6 loss that resulted in an injured Ben Roethlisberger. The Dolphins now find themselves with an injured starting quarterback but have rallied behind Matt Moore.

Should be a good rematch.
