While the ream gets ready for the regular season finale against the Browns we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Friday, Dec. 30th.

Rookie of the year

The Steelers are wrapping up their regular season and with that they’re handing out awards. They’ve already selected Le’Veon Bell as the team’s MVP for the season.

More from Steelers News

Thursday prior to practice they announced that defensive back Sean Davis was the “Joe Greene Great Performance Award” recipient given to the top rookie each year. The safety has played in all of the games so far this season and was the first rookie to start at defensive back in the season opener since 1997.

The last time a safety won the award was in 2003 a safety named Troy Polamalu got the honors. Linebacker Arthur Moats was given the ‘The Chief Award’ for the player who best cooperated with the media throughout the season.

I’d take the Porsche

Remember back when Jets receiver Brandon Marshall bet his car that he’d get more receiving yards than Antonio Brown in the hopes of winning his tricked-out Rolls? Just a check in on those stats would reveal that Marshall is short about 500 yards from winning AB’s car.

Don’t think that Brown hasn’t noticed.

Also I don’t know who did this but this is great. Keep up the good work, internet.

The end of an error

The regular season will end on Sunday but that’s not all that might be ending. We might just be getting our last look at Landry Jones in a Steeler uniform. The PPG’s Ray Fittipaldo reminds us that it is a contract year for Jones and he’ll become a free agent in March.

Next: Steelers Playoff Mock Draft

He might want to continue to back up Ben Roethlisberger but taking a look around the league he’s got to be confident about his chances on getting paid to be marginally ok elsewhere. If Brock Osweiler can rob Houston like that someone will surely overpay Landry Jones no matter how bad he’s sucked here.
