Steelers Draft Strategy: Top 5 Needs
Need Number Four: Wide Receiver
The wide receiver position is an intriguing one. Many fans feel that the team should not select one early while many feel none need to be selected at all.
Reports indicate that Pittsburgh is leaning toward taking a receiver with a high pick. This will mean anywhere from the second to fourth rounds.
Given the struggles for any of the receivers on the team to produce enough for a legitimate number two spot, receiver is a need. Martavis Bryant‘s imminent return will help, but with the loss of Markus Wheaton, Pittsburgh needs another receiver to throw into the mix.
Rogers, Hamilton, Ayers and Coates all had contributions last season but with none stepping up, especially in the AFC Championship, it is time to look for more help. Here are some potential targets for Day 2 and Day 3:
- Chris Godwin, Malachi Dupree, Zay Jones
- Josh Reynolds, Jalin Robinette, Noah Brown
