After the NFL Draft, there isn’t much action taking place between the media and the teams. Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and minicamp are the last chances that outsiders get to know what’s going on with their team.
The Steelers have officially announced the dates of these workouts. With the summer right around the corner, fans don’t have much longer to wait before post-draft action begins with their teams. From there, it’s good to know football season is coming sooner than we think.
For Pittsburgh, they’ll open OTAs May 23-25, May 30-June 1 and June 5-8. From there, minicamp runs June 13-15. That doesn’t leave much time to have to wait between the draft and the start of workouts. In the eyes of fans and the media, there’s nothing wrong with football season being close.
