How Does T.J. Watt Fit the Steelers?

The Steelers have an obvious need for pass rushers, particularly at outside linebacker. That brings Watt and others like him into the conversation naturally. A pass rush solution could bode well for a young secondary in 2017.

T.J. Watt embodies what Pittsburgh likes in a linebacker. He is big and strong, and has shown he can get to the quarterback.

Watt’s ability as a run stuffer coupled with clear pass rush potential would make him an ideal linebacker choice come draft time. With a teammate like James Harrison, the Steelers current all-time sack leader, and a brother like J.J. Watt, a superstar for the Texans, T.J. would have all the tools to compete should he be selected by Pittsburgh.

Should the Steelers be able to get past the lack of experience and the injuries he suffered in his early college days, they could very well select Watt in the first round of the upcoming draft.
