5. The Rookies
After an extremely impressive NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have plenty of first-year players looking to make an impact in 2017. From T.J. Watt to Colin Holba, all eyes will be watching to see what rookies are ready to play this season.
Big questions will be – Is JuJu Smith-Schuster competing for the slot or an outside receiver? How much playing time is T.J Watt looking at? Can Cameron Sutton start at nickel? And, is Josh Dobbs going to be the backup quarterback?
Some of these won’t be answered until the regular season, but with two weeks of practice, we should get a feel as to how much we’ll see each rookie. With a draft class this good, there should be plenty of players seeing reps during their first year in the league.
It’s always exciting seeing rookies on the field, especially when they contribute. Much like Ben Roethlisberger and Le’Veon Bell, this year’s class will be looking to start their NFL campaign on a strong note in year one.
