4. Who’s playing slot?

Assumingly, Eli Rogers and JuJu Smith-Schuster will compete for the slot position. However, with the recent release of Ladarius Green, Pittsburgh may be looking to spread the field more, using four-receiver sets throughout the game.

Either way, the battle for the third receiver spot will be fierce this season. Rogers may be the prototypical slot receiver – quick feet, shorter than your average wideout, and incredibly strong hands. But Smith’s size, strength, and powerful hands also make him a candidate for the job.

This will be the biggest offensive position battle of the offseason. Unless the Steelers shock the NFL and don’t start Martavis Bryant on the outside, Rogers vs. Smith will be the best competition Pittsburgh has.

No matter who gets the job, you can assume both players will have big impacts on this team in 2017. With the talent Pittsburgh has at the position, there will be a lot of players making themselves known in the passing game.

For a team with one remaining offensive question, though, Rogers vs. Smith will be one of the most entertaining things to watch during the summer.
