What is Keion Adams’ role in 2017 and beyond for Pittsburgh?

Adams has an uphill battle to crack the squad out of camp so fans shouldn’t set expectations very high for him. He has the tools to be a great backup this season but not much more.

Adams possesses great athleticism and quickness at the linebacker position. He is 6’2″ 245 pounds and has a fairly slim frame.

Adams has the elusive ability in his pass rush and can also plug the gaps versus the run. He displays great pursuit angles and quickness when patrolling across the field.

Check out some clips of him in action below:

He will need to learn from the current guys above him in the depth chart to develop his game. James Harrison will offer excellent veteran leadership to help mold both Adams and Watt into the best they can be.

Adams can call on his own abilities to help him make an impression in camps. The Steelers want the best defense possible and if they can get the most out of their late defensive picks that will only help make the defense better.

Time will tell what this young linebacker can do in the Steel City. The Steelers hope he and Watt can help solidify the outside backer spot for years.
