Terrell Watson

Terrell Watson is still a hit or miss in the 53-man roster. Right now, he’s likely on the outside looking in, but with three more performances like his one against the Giants and he could make a surprise appearance on the final roster.

Watson has the biggest opsticals to overcome of anyone on this list. Le’Veon Bell and James Conner are guaranteed to make the 53 man, but outside of those two, it’s an open competition. With Knile Davis being a strong return man, he’s likely to stay, meaning there’s one spot for grabs.

Watson is competing heavily with Fitzgerald Toussaint. With Toussaint’s history with the team, he’s got a lead on the position battle early, but if Watson continues to shine, there’ll be no reason not to move him ahead of the fourth year back.

The third year back out of Azusa Pacific needs to impress these final three preseason games. Nothing less than breakout performances will keep him on the final roster. But with some sound play the rest of the preseason, Watson could be a strong dark horse to work his way into the final 53.
