Circulating the sports world, it appears that the Pittsburgh Steelers have taken top spots in the NFL Power Rankings following Week 1.

While a 21-18 win over the Cleveland Browns isn’t that impressive, it was enough to prove that the Steelers are the top team in the NFL. With the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and plenty of other teams falling off in Week 1, the Power Rankings took one of the biggest blows in recent memory.

Pittsburgh isn’t No. 1 in all NFL Power Rankings, but they did make it to the top spot in some. For the others, the Steelers don’t fall out of the top 10, and remain within the group of NFL elites in every major power ranking out there.

So, where does Pittsburgh fall in these Week 2 NFL Power Rankings?

It’s fair to say that Pittsburgh should be in the top five at least. Maybe their Week 1 performance wasn’t what many expected, but with the win and some strong play on the defensive front, the Steelers showed a lot of promise.

As long as they can get their offense flowing, something that should happen in Week 2, Pittsburgh will remain in the top five, and climb in most Power Rankings.

NFL.com looks to be the toughest judge for the Steelers, so as the season progresses, where they rank within their 32 should be a strong indicator of how much they’ve improved throughout the year.

There’s still plenty of season left, and for Pittsburgh, these Power Rankings mean nothing until every major site has black and yellow at No. 1.
