Pittsburgh Steelers: 5 things we learned in win over Ravens

Antonio Brown is no stranger to controversy. His Facebook Live broadcasting of Coach Tomlin last playoffs led to some controversy, and his touchdown celebrations have provoked ire from some more traditional football fans. Today he found himself in the limelight again for something other than skillful footwork and six points.
Brown was not targeted by Ben Roethlisberger on a pass where he was wide open, and took out his frustration on a Gatorade cooler on the sideline, hurling it toward the field like a one-armed Bob Knight.

Brown does have a point, he was open, but he must understand, as I’m sure he does despite getting caught up in the heat of the moment, that he is part of an elite receiving corps. He is arguably the best receiver in the game, but he’s not going to get every throw. The Steelers are fortunate to have a bevy of elite receivers that keep defenses guessing who’s going to be targeted with the ball, and Brown should consider himself fortunate to be teammates with them, just as they should feel the same way about him.
As much as he’s been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, and as much as others love to tag him with the “diva” label, I’m sure Antonio Brown and the rest of the Steelers’ offense will put this behind them relatively quickly and move on to next week. Coach Tomlin is too good of a manager to let this simmer for long.
