Protect the Ball

The Steelers will have to protect the ball to come out with a win. That’s always the case but it will especially be this Sunday. I’m not suggesting the Steelers are bad at this. They’re only averaging one turnover per game. They’re solid in this regard. The need to protect the ball is due to the team on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

The Jaguars are currently 3rd in the league in takeaways. They have 10 overall, 5 interceptions and 5 fumbles recovered of the 6 they’ve forced. They’re able to achieve this by getting into the backfield, evidence by their league leading 18 sacks. The Steelers need to protect the quarterback, and protect the ball. If the Jags can capitalize on turnovers, and they already have 2 touchdowns from the defense, it could be a tough game.
