Pittsburgh Steelers: 4 keys to a Week 8 win over the Lions
By Zack Goncz
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a win against the Bengals. Plus, no stars were injured. Now, facing the Lions, they must face their Achilles heal: a mediocre team on the road.
The Steelers win big games. They proved as much against division rivals the Bengals and KC the week before. If only they could beat bad teams too. The Lions are just 3-3 but they might just be good enough to beat.
Pittsburgh is going to need to do a few things to get out with the W though. The Steelers are adjusting nicely to a less fantasy football style Ben Roethlisberger and the defense is playing better than it has in years. The Lions are not particularly great in any area of the game but they aren’t last 5 in any major category either.
Improving to 6-2 is going to be a nice spot to be in given the ups and downs of this season. To get there though, they’ll have to accomplish a few things. If they do these, the only thing they’ll have to worry about is getting out of a game against the Bengals without a star player getting injured, by coincidence of course, that team’s all class.
