The Pittsburgh Steelers are significant favorites over the Houston Texans on their Christmas Day Week 16 matchup.

Even without their top receiver, the Pittsburgh Steelers are considered major favorites in their Christmas Day game. Being their sixth primetime event of the season, the Steelers should have a big upper-hand against the Houston Texans in Week 16.

Being the first game of a Christmas Day double-header, the Steelers will square off with a beat up Texans team. Without DeShaun Watson, and likely a number of other starters, Houston will be looking to overcome a number of obstacles to hand Pittsburgh their fourth loss of the season.

According to OddShark, the Pittsburgh Steelers are a (-10) point favorite over the Texans. With the way Pittsburgh is known to play to opponents, it’ll be no surprise if this game is that close. At the same time, though, no one would blink an eye if this game gets out of control.

Without the injuries, this Houston team would be a serious contender for the playoffs. But with the amount of players missing, the Texans have moved to the bottom half of the league and are just hoping to bounce back in 2017 baring no more setbacks in the offseason.

After a Week 15 loss with plenty of controversy, no one should expect the Steelers to miss a beat on Christmas. This team is hunting for a first round bye and with two weeks to secure it, there’ll be no stopping them.

Houston has plenty of talent around them, but the Steelers have proven they can compete with anyone in the league. A beat up Texans team isn’t much of a threat to the Steelers, and for those gambling on this one, making a little extra money off an injured opponent is always a nice Christmas present to yourself.
