Pittsburgh Steelers injury report: Nothing major heading into Week 17

HOUSTON, TX - DECEMBER 25: Ben Roethlisberger
HOUSTON, TX - DECEMBER 25: Ben Roethlisberger

The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading into Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns with their typical set of players, even if not everyone is going to play.

Outside of Antonio Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be pretty healthy one week away from the playoffs. With the first round of the postseason already secured for Pittsburgh, this team is likely to sit most of their starting lineup against the 0-15 Cleveland Browns.

Veterans like Ben Roethlisberger and Maurkice Pouncey likely won’t participate in much practice this week. Roethlisberger has already been removed for a non-injury related decision.

On the other hand, both Coty Sensabaugh (Shoulder) and Ramon Foster (Concussion) were full participates so far this week. After missing Week 16, it’s a good sign to see both at practice heading into the final regular season game of the year.

For Cleveland, they have a few players recovering from injuries after Week 16. With both running backs limited this week, the Browns will need to hope someone could step up in the backfield.

This one shouldn’t be much of a contest for Pittsburgh. 0-15 isn’t much of a threat for Pittsburgh. Even without their starters, the Steelers should be able to handle Cleveland.

Next: Harrison's signing a slap in the face

Don’t expect many of their stars on the field for long. Big Ben and Le’Veon Bell should be a healthy scratch right from the beginning, and depending on how the first half goes, not many starters should be left after halftime.
