Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, Ryan Shazier, will speak publicly for the first time since his injury.

The biggest question surrounding the entire NFL since November has been the constant update of Pro Bowl linebacker, Ryan Shazier. With each social media, fans, players and coaches league-wide are glued to their phones hoping for signs of progression in his recovery.

For the last two months, Shazier has kept most of his recovery private, releasing some bits of information to let the world know he’s getting better. But outside of leaked misinformation, no significant updates have been given to the public.

That will all change tomorrow. For the first time since his injury, Shazier has done a public interview. Conducted by teammate, Rosie Nix, the NFL will hear what is truly happening with the Pro Bowl linebacker on Nix’s podcast, Thursday, February 15.

Shazier’s future is pretty unknown and for the foreseeable future remains unknown. Whether or not he’ll make his way back to football is likely slim. Steelers owner, Art Rooney II, has made it known, though that he expects Shazier to be involved in the team during the 2018, even if that means a new role.

This will remain the biggest headline of the offseason for Pittsburgh. Shazier had one of the brightest futures in football, but they say everything happens for a reason, and for now, Shazier is going to have to use that as a way to continue contributing to Pittsburgh.

2018 isn’t going to feature Shazier on the field, but for Pittsburgh, they’re hoping to have him spread his talent and knowledge somehow. What his limitations are, and whether or not he’s on track to one day walk with his child again, are the questions everyone is asking. Come tomorrow, these questions should be answered.
