Eric Reid

Last but not least, there’s a case to be made for Pittsburgh to make a run at Strong Safety Eric Reid.

Sean Davis had a stellar rookie year and slumped in his sophomore run. The defensive-minded organization we all know and love could easily light a fire under the young Davis by signing a veteran Reid to an already defensively stout team.

Reid spends the majority of his time playing Strong Safety, further proving that he could help the young Davis in his career to become a better safety. Reid has totaled 318 tackles, 10 interceptions, and 34 pass deflections. The possibilities at safety in Pittsburgh this season could be tremendous with these signings.

Sure there are concerns with Le’Veon Bell, after he signed his franchise tag for the second year in a row in regards to his payroll, but even if these players were signed, there would still be enough potential cap room for upper management to ink Bell to a long-term deal that favors both Bell and the Steelers.
