How does Ronnie Harrison fit the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Ronnie Harrison is a top tier prospect heading into the 2018 draft. Pittsburgh is in dire need of a starting safety after Mitchell’s release so Harrison has an obvious fit by just simply playing that position.

Harrison plays well in man and zone coverage which is something the Steelers look to improve upon in 2018. Too many big plays were given up in the secondary in 2017 and it is a major point of emphasis headed towards 2018.

Harrison can play both coverage and run support from his safety spot. Pittsburgh needs a physical safety who can help in all facets of defense.

Sean Davis had a great year and although his numbers look good on paper he struggled in 2017. Anyone who watched  game will tell you he seemed to regress some from his promising 2016 rookie season.

The safety position will need a starter one way or another. With a long way to go until the 2018 season begins, the team could sign one or choose to draft a rookie to start.

No matter what the Steelers decide to do, Harrison will be a great fit if he ends up in Pittsburgh.
