The Pittsburgh Steelers have a few first-round options, but how their first three rounds go will ultimately be decided by the team ahead of them.

The 2018 NFL Draft is going to be full of surprises. Teams have draft boards, but with so much talent in this year’s class, no team knows for certain which prospects will be available when they’re on the clock.

For Pittsburgh, their options are narrowed, but only by position. The players that will be around at No. 28 aren’t known, and have little security to be available. So, like the rest of the NFL, they’re keeping their options open in every round.

The first-round will impact the rest of the draft for Pittsburgh, but all three of the opening rounds will be a guessing game until they’re on the clock. A long draft board is key for this team, and Pittsburgh has plenty of names they’ll consider.

Rounds one through three are going to be filled with suspense. The Steelers have a game plan, but when Roger Goodell opens the 2018 NFL Draft, everything we know about this year’s draft goes out the window, and it comes down to who picks who ahead of Pittsburgh’s selections.
