Round 5, Pick 165: Kalen Ballage, RB Arizona State

The Steelers are in a sticky situation with Le’Veon Bell. He will play for the team in 2018 but beyond is anything but certain.

They continue to negotiate leaving the future in question. With the draft here, Pittsburgh needs to ensure themselves that they have depth and options at running back should Bell leave after 2018.

If you saw my first two mocks, you know by now I love Kalen Ballage. He is the perfect blend of power, speed and size.

Ballage, James Conner, and another back would be a good enough stable to held ease the potential loss of Bell in 2019 and beyond. Running back by committee is probably the approach they would take unless someone stepped up and showed they can take the load.
