Round 7, Pick 246: David Bright, OL Stanford

Pittsburgh lost Chris Hubbard to the Cleveland Browns in free agency this offseason. Typically losing a backup offensive lineman is not a huge deal but Hubbard wasn’t your everyday backup.

Hubbard’s versatility was huge for the Steelers in 2017 as he started 10 games for them, mostly filling in for the injured/suspended Marcus Gilbert. Bright can help fill this role of utility lineman.

Bright played both tackle and guard spots in his time at Stanford and helped block for a great run game. Like Gilmore the pick before, Bright’s versatility will help him get drafted as opposed to being a priority free agent.
