Pittsburgh Steelers: 3 players who can be cut following the NFL Draft

Justin Hunter
Justin Hunter was finally getting a chance of stability in the NFL, but after drafting James Washington and signing Quadree Henderson, the Steelers no longer need him to stay around. He wasn’t an every game player and with two rookies, plus a possible return of Eli Rogers, the depth chart is too big to keep him around.
If anything, he’ll find his way to the practice squad for an entire season, but chances are he’s the first one cut at the position. Derrius Heyward-Bey is also a candidate to be released, but with Robert Golden gone, his role on special teams will keep him on the team.
It’ll be a tough break for Hunter, as he was finally gaining some traction with a team. Hopefully he can land a spot somewhere else before preseason. He has the skill to be a quality NFL wideout, but he just never met his potential. Therefore, he’s the name called when cuts are happening.
