Cameron Heyward

The first name that comes to many people’s minds is Cameron Heyward. The defensive end is entering his eighth season and has been the vocal point of this defense for the last three years. Bringing in 12 sacks last season, Heyward is looking to turn his Pro Bowl worthy career into a Hall of Fame one, starting in 2018.

If anyone is going to step up on the defensive line, it’s going to be Heyward. This man can get to the quarterback as good as anyone in the league. Maybe he can’t make the coverage plays guys behind him can, but he can certainly disrupt the passer enough to cause a lot of problems for an offense.

Heyward could easily be the turning point for the defense. They’re on the cusp of becoming elite again, but they need that one guy to shine above the rest. Heyward has the leadership and skills to do so. Now, he just needs to make it happen, this season.
