Tight end/Fullback (4)

  1. Jesse James
  2. Vance McDonald
  3. Xavier Grimble
  4. Roosevelt Nix (FB)

The tight end group just has not been the same for the Steelers since the retirement of Heath Miller. His presence and consistency was an underrated part of the Steelers teams from his rookie season until he retired.

Jesse James has tried to fill the void and has not done terrible but hasn’t done great either. He is not the blocker Miller was but he has shown promise as a chain mover.

Vance McDonald comes into his second year and could very well overtake James as the starter. Grimble isn’t going to be a huge factor but at this point, there is no other tight end I can see making it.

Of course, Nix remains the fullback here. He has been the “Bell Ringer” for the last few seasons and I can think of no one better to open holes for the run game.
