The 2018 season will be the latest installment of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quest for a seventh Lombardi trophy. We’ll go over three matchups that will present the biggest challenges for the Steelers.

The Steelers have gotten quite lucky this year with their schedule. Despite playing a first place schedule, which also includes the NFC South, how the schedule plays it works out for Pittsburgh.

Consider these four opponents: Falcons, Panthers, Chiefs, Chargers. Those are not four easy wins. The Steelers play all of these teams at home this year while Baltimore plays all four on the road. Imagine that flipped the other way. It’s not a reach to say the Steelers’ record in those four games would be different on the road instead of the comfort of the North Side.

While they get some luck with their schedule, the Steelers still have quite a few games that will give them fits.

Week 5 vs Atlanta Falcons

Whether or not this game is at home, it’s going to be a tough win. It has all the makings of a Heinz Field shootout. Atlanta and Pittsburgh both boast two of the most potent offenses in the NFL. Atlanta can attack you on the ground or through the air. They have no shortage of weapons on offense.

The most anticipated matchup of this game will be Antonio Brown vs Julio Jones. Social media has no shortage of people arguing who’s better. While this game won’t decide the “who’s better” argument, it will be entertaining watching them trying to outplay the other.

The Steelers’ defense will be the biggest concern in this game. While the secondary is better than they were two seasons ago, if the defensive front can’t pressure Matt Ryan, he’ll tear apart this defense worse than Blake Bortles and Leonard Fournette did in January.
