The Pittsburgh Steelers have a full arsenal of weapons on offense. The defense is a bit murky. We’ll take a look, a scouting report if you will, of each position and how they can help your fantasy football team.

The Steelers have a plethora of talent available all throughout the draft. From obvious first round talents to potential sleepers, there is plenty of options to choose from if you want win your fantasy football league (and possibly be a bit of a homer).

We will base our projections off of a standard scoring 10-team, non-PPR (points-per-reception) league. So be mindful, considering our projections, if you are in an 8-team or 12-team league, or if you play PPR.

Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger

He’s a top-10 fantasy quarterback. He doesn’t put up the numbers like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Carson Wentz. His offense is a bit more balanced than those other three quarterbacks, plus Ben doesn’t rack up rushing yards or touchdowns like Wentz, Cam Newton, or Russell Wilson will.

However, he does have many targets at his disposal and will have occasional huge games. The downside with Ben is he can have a game here and there where he won’t eclipse 15 points.

When to draft him: If you have the opportunity to take a top-5 quarterback in the 3rd round, you can pounce on it. Stocking up on running backs and receivers is the smart play early on. So if that’s your game, Ben is a great find in the 4th or 5th round.
