JuJu Smith-Schuster is ready

This offseason, we didn’t see much of JuJu Smith-Schuster on a football field. He missed all of OTAs and mini camp with a knee injury and then had two minor missteps in training camp.

People were beginning to worry he was dealing with a bigger problem than the team was saying. Then, he showed everyone he’s ready to play football and he’s ready to play football well.

Smith-Schuster went up high to secure a 71-yard touchdown from Landry Jones. While the pass was pretty, the catch was even better. And it certainly got the fans fired up about their second-year receiver.

We can’t eliminate his missed time, yet, but he’s quickly showing us he’s ready for football season. If he’s this impressive all season, the Steelers wide receiving core is going to be better than expected.
