Cameron Sutton and Mike Hilton will make a difference

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ secondary is going to be determined by a number of players, none as significant as the slot cornerback position. First glimpse of the new and improved Cameron Sutton, Mike Hilton combo was a total success.

Sutton started his offseason with an interception. Outside of the turnover, though, you watched these two add security to the secondary. Something that the Steelers needed last season.

Hilton played a decent amount of safety in the preseason opener. This was expected, as Hilton is quickly turning into a Swiss army knife for the Steelers’ defense. His use in 2018 will be everywhere.

The two of these guys together are going to take this defensive backfield to the next level. There are upgrades throughout the secondary, but none as important as Sutton and Hilton. If they can stay healthy this season, they’ll be game changers more then once in 2018.
