The Pittsburgh Steelers 53-man roster is beginning to take shape, and halfway through the preseason, these players have earned their place.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ final roster should look something as follows. Through two weeks of the preseason and months of training, the team has assembled a team that looks to be dangerous heading into the regular season.

With two weeks still remaining, there are going to be bubble players making noise and veterans losing their chance. Like every NFL team, it makes for an exciting time in the Steel City.

Quarterbacks

  • Ben Roethlisberger, Landry Jones, Mason Rudolph

Ben Roethlisberger is clearly the starter and should be for the next three to five years. I am happy that the Steelers have drafted a quarterback to develop over that time.

Mason Rudolph has prove this training camp and preseason that he is a project, but the potential that he has is enough to keep him on the roster as the third quarterback on the roster.

Landry Jones has proven after the first game that he is the clear backup to Roethlisberger and that he should get a helmet on game days. He has proven in this league that he can come in and hold onto a lead.
