The preseason is over, underdogs shined and now, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the difficult task of picking 53 players to put on their regular season roster.

From inside linebacker to cornerback to running back to backup quarterback, the Steelers are four preseason games deep and the competition is just as close as it was in July. Pittsburgh had everyone put on a show in their four exhibition games, and now, they need to pick the best 53 to play for them in 2018.

As exciting as this weekend is for some, there’s no more difficult time for others. As players find homes in NFL rosters, others will be searching for a new start. That could be in the NFL or in another profession.

Making this weekend as hard as it is great. In Pittsburgh, that won’t be any different, as they’ll cut almost half of the players on their team to create the final regular season roster of 2018.

With all the talent this offseason, the Steelers will likely cut players many didn’t see losing a job in May. But as the summer went on and young potential rose, this team began to develop into a better group of players.

Unfortunately, that means people are getting cut. Including these four.
