Keith Butler

To state the obvious, the defense is embarrassing. They’re in the running for one of the worst in the NFL, with some of the brightest young talent in the league. Maybe they aren’t all superstars, but the potential is there, and Butler should be able to improve it.

Everything is wrong. From bringing in Jon Bostic, who adds nothing to this defense that Vince Williams didn’t provide, to using the team’s best pass rushers in coverage, Butler is doing everything wrong.

The schemes need to be changed, the fundamentals need to be retaught and new talent needs to be scouted. Butler is the first name people should blame, right now. He’s shown nothing worth keeping since taking over the defense. At some point, Pittsburgh needs to put the blame where it needs to lay.
