Matthew Thomas

Why Matthew Thomas is not seeing more playing time is another reason Keith Butler should be on the hot seat. Pittsburgh has their run stop with Vince Williams. They don’t need another one. Instead, they need someone who can do it all, like Thomas.

Who cares if he’s an undrafted rookie. All preseason, he proved he should be in the starting lineup, and he has yet to see significant reps in a game. Bostic isn’t playing terrible, but he is no help in coverage, and the middle of the field is going to continue to struggle until they find an alternative.

Thomas needs to be on the field moving forward. He doesn’t need to start, but he earned a place in the rotation. This defense is going to continue to struggle until they begin to make change. The first thing they need to consider is a switch at inside linebacker.
