The Pittsburgh Steelers went into Tampa Bay on Monday Night and pulled out a much needed win. They look to be back on track. Here are the 5 things we learned.

It was a fun game to watch, unless you were a fan of either team, in which case you either had your come back hopes dashed or you saw your life flash before your eyes through the second half only to get away with the W. Thankfully, the Steelers were the latter one. Great win against a solid Tampa team.

Here’s what we learned from the game.

Vance McDonald Stiff Arm

Let’s be honest. The headline of this game is that Vance McDonald stiff armed Chris Conte so hard he briefly traveled into the future where he was playing for the San Diego Raiders. This was the highlight moment of a game full of big plays. He didn’t just hold him off. He threw the man’s head like a shot put.

But this moment indicates more for the Steelers. They’ve been spinning their wheels with the tight end position for several years. It’s the only weak spot in their offense. The Steelers have been hoping Vance McDonald is healthy enough to play because they believe he can play like this. McDonald Monday night, along with Jesse James the first two games, have done a lot to make Steelers fans feel better about the tight end position.
