The Pittsburgh Steelers head back home to take on the Baltimore Ravens in a game that will be just as exciting as any AFC North rivalry.

What will it take for the embattled Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense to snatch victory from the high flying Baltimore Ravens?

Steelers Nation, are you ready for the Baltimore Ravens game?

Remember when these games determined the winner of the AFC North? Remember when these games were low scoring, injury riddled contests? Both teams just happy to survive.

Well, not this time. After watching replays and reviewing stats, this game may come down to the last team with the ball. Here are five things to expect.

Expect the Steelers’ defense to handle the run

The Ravens running game is nothing to brag about. According to Pro Football Reference, they only average 87 yards per game on 3 yards per carry. No RB averages over 3.4 yards per carry. And their longest run has been only 15 yards.

While the Steelers defense has been atrocious this season. They’ve done fairly well against the run. Allowing 4.6 yards per carry and 122 yards per game. Not great. But better than their pass defense.

Expect the Steelers to stop the run. Especially, on third down. Doing so, is paramount to getting a win.
