Bud Dupree

After four years, the Pittsburgh Steelers cannot continue to make the same mistake with Bud Dupree. He’s been a bust since year one, but now, this defense is bad enough to start making changes. Artie Burns will go first, but Dupree will follow closely after.

Pittsburgh may be taking a step backwards by releasing players without having a replacement, but if this season doesn’t take a drastic turn, they’ll have no choice but to start from scratch.

They’ll keep some of the younger players, and veterans who have proven themselves, but Dupree won’t make that list.

He’ll land somewhere else by 2019, but he won’t be a Steeler unless he turns himself into a Pro Bowler before the end of the year. Looking through his portfolio since being drafted, chances are that isn’t going to happen.
