The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Cincinnati without a pair of defenders, but should have some returning stars to the lineup.

The AFC North is getting tighter by the week, with the Steelers climbing after a bounce-back win. However, they’ll need a win over the Bengals, on the road, if they hope to gain significant traction on the divisional leaders.

Pittsburgh could be handling this task without a pair of defensive studs. While Vince Williams will return in Week 6, they could be losing another inside linebacker, and continue to miss their starting safety.

Here is a list of the Steelers seven projected inactives:

Morgan Burnett – Burnett is still struggling with a groin injury and now it looks like he won’t be back until after the bye. This injury has lingered. Edmunds will be the strong safety on Sunday and it was a positive showing from Edmunds last week.

Darrius Heyward-Bey – The Steelers special teams ace has an ankle injury and did not practice all week. He is already ruled out for Sunday’s game. The two gunners on the punt team will probably be Cameron Sutton and Brian Allen.

LJ Fort – This is too bad as Fort had a nice game last week playing for Vince Williams. Fort did not practice all week with an ankle injury and so he is listed as doubtful on the Steelers injury report.

Mason Rudolph – The Steelers are healthy at the quarterback position and so Mason Rudolph will be your game inactive.

Zach Banner – Banner is your ninth offensive lineman and with the top eight probably dressing, you won’t need the ninth in Zach Banner.

Leterrius Walton – LT Walton will probably be inactive with the defensive line healthy.

Next. Steelers hoping Bills deal McCoy. dark

Marcus Allen – Allen will probably be inactive as he has been the whole season. He doesn’t play enough special teams to get a helmet.
