Randy Fichtner is going to work out fine

Speaking of Randy Fichtner, this offense is looking really good. During week 1 when Todd Haley got a Browns team with a rookie quarterback to tie the Steelers a lot of fans (and Ben) might have been wondering in the backs of their minds if it was such a great idea to treat the guy who put together the best offense in Steelers history as a punching bag and a scapegoat for so many years. But 6 games into 2018, the minds of Steelers fans are on how well the offense is managing without arguably its best player.

The Steelers have the 4th best offense as of Sunday night, 2nd in passing. They’ve got the top quarterback in Ben, the 4th RB in Conner, and the 4th WR in JuJu Smith-Schuster. Brown is back in the mix too after a slow start. As mentioned earlier, the TE unit is better than its been in a long time. Fichtner had a tough task entering the season without Bell and at this point he’s done a great job. Oh, and that screen to Brown to win the game, a nicely drawn play that he gave Ben the flexibility to see the opportunity to use.
