The defense is turning a corner?

Ben and Brown had great games but lets have a week without pointing out how great they are since we’re going to have at least 12 more chances to do that. This defense is not going to be like it was 10 years ago. It’s probably not even going to be like it was 1 year ago considering they, like the offense, lost arguably their best player. Shout to Ryan Shazier by the way. However, the adjustments are starting to settle and they’re doing alright, well enough at least.

The defense doesn’t need to be great. It doesn’t need to shut teams totally down. All they need to do is show something. They gave up a couple big plays, made a couple mistakes. But you hold a good quarterback to 229 yards, a good running back to 64 yards, and a good wideout to 85 yards, then its going to be hard to lose that game with an offense this talented. There’s a winning formula if they can keep it up.

Next week, the Steelers have a bye. So we won’t learn much about the Steelers. Although, the Ravens play the Saints and the Bengals play the Chiefs, so there’s a chance we might wake up Monday to learn the Steelers have the best record in the division. We tied the Browns 6 weeks ago. This season has been a wild ride.
