The Cleveland Browns travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they attempt to climb up the AFC North. Here’s how to watch.
The Pittsburgh Steelers take their bye week, but the rest of the AFC North remains in action. First up, is the Cleveland Browns, who travel to Tampa Bay in hopes of defeating the Bucs. Led by Baker Mayfield and one of the hottest defenses in football, Cleveland hopes to remain looking up on the season.
All eyes will be on the rookie-led offense. Mayfield has proven he can win, and the future looks bright with him behind center. But now, it’s Nick Chubb who gets the role at running back. After trading Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Browns are handing the backfield to Chubb and Duke Johnson Jr.
On defense, Cleveland is looking at a +7 takeaway ratio through six weeks. This defense is the real deal, and against a Tampa Bay offense that’s hit or miss, they could have some success.
At 2-3, the Browns are not out of the divisional race. They’re still Cleveland, yes, but they have a lot of promise moving forward. A big win while the Steelers are on a bye and they’ll be right back in the seat as a competitor in the North.
We’re almost half way through the season, and sitting a game or two back from the divisional leader is a good place to sit. Pittsburgh is hoping Tampa Bay comes away with a win. So is the rest of the AFC North. But as Sunday opens up, Pittsburgh fans will be watching to see how the Browns handle their opportunity to step up.
