The Ravens are not going to panic just yet. There are some positives to take away from their 36-21 loss in Carolina. Joe Flacco was not one of them, throwing for only 192 yards, a touchdown, and two picks. Neither was Alex Collins, rushing for 49 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. If you’re looking for some daylight, Lamar Jackson was the guy. Only being used as a utility and unique play-making player, he actually made an impact.

Jackson went 4 for 5, 46 yards and threw his first NFL touchdown. He also ran for 26 yards and finished with a 93.9 QBR. The Ravens struggled on defense, recording no sacks. The team also gave away three turnovers, and failed to feature a player with over 55 receiving or rushing yards. Despite falling to Cam Newton, Baltimore still controls their own destiny. They play host to a surging Steelers team, but considering this is a divisional match up, anything can happen.
