Munchak’s Monsters

A lot of fans don’t really notice the offensive line play unless it’s poor. I don’t mean most fans even, but we all know a casual fan who couldn’t name an offensive lineman in the history of NFL football. That said, if you enjoy watching talented offensive linemen who have great technique and are being used well, then Steelers games are where you want to be.

The Steelers have the 4th ranked offense, 2nd in passing. They’re tired for 3rd least sacks given up. Le’Veon Bell was the premiere RB in the NFL, and Sunday they got a 2nd year, 3rd round pick over 200 yards total and 2 scores and they did it with their starting right tackle out. Where this unit truly shines though is blocking in space. There are some teams that can keep the passer free as well, some that can punch you in the mouth as well, but when DeCastro pulls or Pouncey works to the second level, I’d argue no team does it better.
